Windy City Story Slam’s programming and administration costs are are covered in part by the generous contributions from supporters like you. As Story Slam grows, so do our costs; with your support, we can continue producing our monthly show and take on new and exciting efforts.
Windy City Story Slam NFP is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Contributions are deductible under § 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). We offer two ways to make a tax-deductible donation to Windy City Story Slam NFP:
PayPal
Through PayPal you can make a donation from your checking account, credit card, and more. NOTE: while you DO NOT have to have your own, free PayPal account to donate, more options are available to you if you do.
At the Slam
If you’d prefer to make a cash or check donation in person, speak with Windy City Story Slam staff at the next event.
For Your Records
For your record-keeping convenience, all donors will receive a receipt acknowledging each donation. While you do not need to include this receipt when you file your federal taxes, you do need to be able to produce it upon request.
Donors who choose to use PayPal will receive both a PayPal receipt upon checkout and an electronic letter/receipt to the e-mail you provide. In-person donors will immediately receive a paper letter/receipt.
